We are thrilled to invite students to participate in the Model European Union Athens, a Charlemagne Youth Prize award-winning simulation of EU policy-making processes.

MEU Athens 2026 will be the first youth simulation on the COREPER II and Council of the EU. Through this, participants will learn about the behind-the-scene powerhouse mechanics of EU-decision making. The event will be hosted at the Europa Experience Learning Center that is operated by the European Parliament Liaison Office in Athens.

When & Where
The event will take place in Athens, Greece from the 26 February to 1 March 2026.

How to Participate

The participation fee is €75, which includes:

• Study visit 
• Training and preparatory materials
• Coffee break and lunches (27 Feb to 1 March)
• Social events

Accommodation and travel will need to be arranged by the participant directly. End of February is low tourist season so accommodation will be very affordable. Upon acceptance into the event, we will also be able to provide ample support and suggestions to the participant to secure accommodation of their choice.

Application Deadline
The application period closes on 23 November 2025 at 23:59. Applications, however, will be processed on a rolling base, therefore we recommend to apply as soon as possible
